Holiday Travelers

Like many people this time of year, the Nicastro family hit the road for the long holiday weekend.  There were many miles to cover, people to see, and things to do.

First we went to visit Granma and Granpa where Mommy, Daddy, and Ysabella enjoyed fresh cool air, walking around the neighborhood.

Since Anthony can't walk just yet he enjoyed quality time relaxing by the fire

We even squeezed in time to meet one of Mommy's childhood friends, Andrea, and her 10 month old son, Nathan

Next it was on to Brooklyn, NY where we met our newest family addition, Aiyana Eden 

While Mommy and Daddy were busy holding Aiyana and playing with Zadia, Anthony was occupied with his Aunts, Uncles, and Nona and Poppy

We had a great trip and loved seeing our family and friends.  Soon enough the whole family will be together again for Christmas down in VA. See you there!

Thankful

It's Thanksgiving, the day we give thanks for all of our blessings.  Mommy and Daddy are thankful that the drive to Philly is over and Ysabella and Anthony are thankful for their first bath together 

For teacups in the tub



For soft and cozy towels

For food comas (most often seen after eating lots of turkey)

For games of Peek-A-Boo

And most of all for the family and friends that we couldn't live without!

Especially their loving hugs and kisses

Happy Thanksgiving to All of Our Beloved Family and Friends.  We are so thankful for your love, hugs and kisses!

To Granma's House We Go

It may have been a long trip but we finally made it to Granma and Granpa's house! No one is happier than Anthony.

First Date with a Chaperone

Mommy and Daddy went to see good friends of theirs, Frank, Vivi, and Makayla, now that they are home from the hospital.  There was lots of love going around and baby swapping.

Ysabella was there helping both babies to eat and burp, as well as being a chaperone for Anthony and Makayla's first real date.  She attempted to blend into the background and go unnoticed for their privacy during this courtship.

They started by ignoring each other in separate places

 

Soon their magnetism couldn't keep them away, but they still ignored each other

Before long they were looking deeply into each other's eyes, which is about as far away as they can see anyway. 

Mommy and Daddy aren't arranging any marriages, but Makayla has been the only baby they have allowed dating in the family.  There may not be a true love connection but one thing is for certain... 

All three of these adorable kids will definitely be friends.

Warming Up

While it may be cooling down outside as fall sets in, Ysabella is warming up to her baby brother at home. 

Usually limited contact is best for Ysabella and Anthony and luckily it comes at helpful moments.

Mommy and Daddy keep trying to bring Ysabella and Anthony together and know that it will only be a matter of time before they are very close.  The love between them is already apparent when Ysabella momentarily agrees to "snuggle" with Anthony, even if only long enough to snap a quick picture.

New Addition

Our good friends, Frank and Vivi Cassella, recently added a new member to their family on 11/11/11!  We went to visit them today and got to see the love connection start between Makayla Jocie and Anthony Francis.

Ysabella still has a runny nose so the only one she was allowed to love on was her baby brother, Anthony.  

Welcome to the world Makayla Jocie, 7.5lbs and 22 inches long, an entire inch longer than Anthony.  Mommy says don't worry, its okay to marry shorter than you :)

Fall Family Fun

Daddy said it and made it so.  

We all went out for a family afternoon walk on a beautiful sunny day. Ysabella explored the fallen leaves and it was only a matter of time before she was "all done" and afraid of them.

Daddy relived his childhood and climbed a tree.

And took a picture of Anthony sleeping through it all, as usual. 

And Mommy Stands Alone

Today is the first day Mommy is taking care of two kids without an adult helping hand. Daddy handles it with no problem and shows us all how to do it well.  

 Nightly feedings and an 18 month sleep regression haven't slowed Mommy down or Ysabella.

 Anthony has no choice but to sit quietly and observe the chaos.

Thankfully, Ysabella loves her "baby bwodder" Anthony and is always willing to help bounce him to sleep or feed him "melk" when he is "tirsty".

We are all pretty sure that Mommy can handle two kids and will be very sad when she has to go back to work at the "hobstible".  Before we know it, its nap time and then waiting for Daddy to come home from "skool". Sounds like a successful day to me! 

Any Given Sunday

Sunday's are for one thing in the Nicastro house... FOOTBALL!!

Anthony is getting ready for his second Sunday in the house with the game on and luckily the San Francisco Niners are finally being televised!

We have to wait until tomorrow to see Mommy's team the Philadelphia Eagles, but we sure will have a great time watching the Niners today. Ysabella knows exactly what to do every time the Niners score .... Touchdown!!

Welcome to our new website!

We are hoping to update photos and stories much more often on this site than Ysabella's previous one.

The Nicastro Clan has grown, not only with the addition of Anthony Francis, but also with our newest niece Aiyana Eden Doron! It may be too early to tell who Anthony looks like...

...but we know for certain that Aiyana Eden resembles her big sister, Zadia Love.

We also know that there are two lovely ladies that will be amazing big sisters.
