Lean to the Left...

Mommy learned a very important lesson today, blink and you might miss it!  Anthony surprised us all today when Mommy was turned around changing Ysabella.  We all might have missed the first time, but we got the next one on video.



Don't grow up too fast Ysabella and Anthony, Mommy and Daddy aren't ready for the teen years yet!!!

Hooked on Phonics

While we might not really be able to read or understand phonics, Ysabella and Anthony are both book lovers.  Mommy has her kindle and Anthony reads his black and white book.

 Sometimes its difficult when your cheeks weigh you down.

Ysabella's favorite book is a Sing-a-Long with all her favorite tunes like The Wheels on the Bus.  She always tries to do all the motions as she sings along.  Is "sit right here" one of the lines to the song?

 

Probably not, but we love it all the same.

Alphabet Traditions

Mommy started doing the ABCs with Ysabella every day when she was a baby.  There are always funny arm motions to make the shapes of the letters and to make smiles.  Now the tradition continues with Anthony, but instead of Mommy singing the alphabet, Ysabella helps out!

Some things may change, but smiles stay forever.

Lessons Learned

Everyone says that children grow up too quickly and Mommy and Daddy definitely agree.  Both Ysabella and Anthony seem to be aquiring new skills at record pace.  Anthony shows us how strong he has become holding his head up during tummy time.

 

He also shows us how perfectly round a head can be! 

Ysabella started sitting on the potty without argument...

though isn't always productive.

Anthony tries to show Ysabella how to ride the bouncy donkey,

And Ysabella shows us how she learns to enjoy The Little Gym...

All that is left to do is to chillax in the bumbo while mastering the rattle.

Someone has the right moves at our house and isn't afraid let let us know she wants to dance.

Health Is Our Greatest Wealth

Daddy is a huge believer in living a healthy, active lifestyle.  So, here in the Nicastro house we try to stay fit.  Ysabella started her first day as a "Beastie" at The Little Gym.  Mommy wishes she had pictures to post here but Ysabella was very shy.  If she wasn't saying "all done" or asking to be held, she was in tears. So, we decided to enjoy the beautiful January day and exercise outside where Ysabella is much happier.

After a few soccer drills, she moved on to what looked like stretches.  They were, however, her attempt at  "push -ups".

Which are very serious business.

Anthony wasn't left out today and got his own special workout in.  His neck strength in the Bumbo.

Head down.

Head Up.

A tiny moment of rest.

And smiles all around.
